RUAIDHRí MAGUIRE

CHOREOGRAPHER  

Ruaidhrí Maguire is a choreographer and dancer from Ireland.

His choreography has been presented across Europe, North America, and Japan. Recent works include The Doppler Effect (The Belfast Ensemble), The Five Seasons (Ballet Victoria), and Beating Streets in City Hearts (Baltic Opera). His new work Linear Flux premieres with the National Ballet of Ireland in 2026.

He is the co-founder and Artistic Director of Six Dance Collective, for which he created the two-act ballet White Doves (2023) and the professional production The View From Mars (2025).

As a dancer, he is currently with the National Ballet of Ireland. He previously danced as a principal with Baltic Opera Ballet in Poland and has also performed with Ballet Victoria (Canada) and Milwaukee Ballet II (USA).

Ruaidhrí began his classical training with the Roberta McCormick School of Ballet and Laura Walker Ballet School. After this, he began his vocational training at the Central School of Ballet, London under Resmi Malko, Aurora Bosch, Christopher Marney, and William Glassman.  He was generously supported by the Lord and Lady Lurgan Trust and by Ballet Central.
